Pan Fried Fish With Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  1. 4 fillets of white fish (such as tilapia or cod)
  2. Salt and pepper to taste
  3. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  4. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  5. Lemon wedges for serving

For the Sweet Chili Sauce:

  1. 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  2. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  3. 1 tablespoon honey
  4. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  5. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  6. 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  7. 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  8. Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

For the Fish:

Step 1: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Coat each fillet in flour, shaking off any excess.

Step 3: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Step 4: Place the fillets in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 5: Remove the fish from the pan and set aside.

For the Sweet Chili Sauce: Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.

Step 2: Pour the sauce into the pan used for frying the fish and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Step 3: Pour the sweet chili sauce over the pan-fried fish.

Step 4: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges.

Step 5: Enjoy the perfect combination of crispy fish and sweet-spicy sauce!
