Coronation Chicken is a classic British dish that was created to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. It is a cold, creamy chicken salad that is typically made with shredded or diced chicken mixed with a tangy, lightly spiced dressing.
The dressing usually includes a combination of mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, curry powder, lemon juice, and mango chutney, which gives the dish a sweet and tangy flavor with a hint of spiciness. Additional ingredients such as raisins, sliced almonds, and fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley are often added to give the dish some texture and additional flavor.
