Scalloped Potatoes Recipe

Scalloped potatoes is a classic dish made from sliced potatoes that are layered in a baking dish and baked in a creamy sauce. The dish typically includes milk or cream, butter, and cheese, and may also contain additional ingredients such as onions, garlic, or herbs. The potatoes are thinly sliced and then arranged in a single layer in the baking dish. The creamy sauce is then poured over the top of the potatoes, and the dish is baked in the oven until the potatoes are tender and the sauce is bubbly and golden brown. The name "scalloped" comes from the scallop shell, which was traditionally used as a baking dish for this type of dish. Scalloped potatoes are a comforting and satisfying side dish that can be enjoyed on their own or as a complement to a variety of main dishes.
