Cucumber Sandwich

Additionally to the mixture of ground pepper you can put other spices that you like to the butter. For example, paprika or ground coriander are ideal there. Dill can be easily replaced with parsley, cilantro or basil.


Ingredients

  • Toast
    2-3 pcs
  • Butter
    30 g
  • Cucumber
    1-2 pcs
  • Dill
    - to taste
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Ground black pepper
    - to taste
  • Olive oil
    3 tbsp



Steps

  • 1. Put a piece of butter in a small bowl and leave it at room temperature for a while to become soft. Then add a little of mixture of ground pepper for flavor. Wash and dry dill. Cut the herbs finely and add them to oil.
  • 2. Mix oil with spices and herbs, achieving a uniform consistency. Then put the bowl with the flavored butter on the shelf of the fridge for it to cool and harden.
  • 3. Pour olive oil in a non-stick pan and put it on a medium heat. Place slices of toast bread in a pan with oil and grill them until golden brown on both sides. You can also dry bread using a toaster.
  • 4. Cut crust from toasted bread and cut the slices in halves.
  • 5. For this recipe it is better to use small cucumbers without seeds, with tender thin skin. Cut the cucumbers tails and cut the vegetables into thin rings.
  • 6. Spread flavored butter on toasted bread. Dont make the layer of butter too thick for sandwiches not to be too greasy.
  • 7. Put thin slices of cucumbers on the top with an overlap. Season vegetables with a little salt and then with a mixture of peppers.
