Crisp Oven-Fried Chicken

Here is a new way to cook chicken with golden crispy crust. Chicken is very delicious, tender and flavoury. To this recipe you can bake chicken thighs or wings, as chicken fillet is better to use for other dishes, it can be a bit dry. If you want you can add dry spices, for example powdered coriander, paprika or thyme.


  • Chicken drumsticks
    6 pcs
  • Flour
    4 tbsp
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    0,5 pcs
  • Egg
    1 pcs
  • Rusk flour
    100 g
  • Cheese
    50 g
  • Corn flour
    2 tbsp
  • Parsley
    - to taste


  • 1. Wash and drain chicken drumsticks with paper toweles. Put mixture of salt and black powdered pepper above the drumsticks. Roll chicken in wheat flour.
  • 2. In separate bowl beat up the egg with a fork to make white and yolk mix up.
  • 3. Coat chicken drumsticks in wheat flour with beaten-up egg.
  • 4. In a bowl combine ingredients for the crispy coat which are rusk flour, corn flour and hard cheese.
  • 5. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.
  • 6. Roll chicken drumsticks in cheese coating to cover them fully.
  • 7. Place chicken on the baking sheet covered with foil paper.
  • 8. Put chicken into the pre-heated oven until 400°F at the medium stage. Bake chicken for 35-45 minutes depending on the size of the chicken drumsticks. To check the readiness, stuck the knife in the meat. If it gives out clear juice, it means chicken is ready.
  • 9. Serve the dish hot. Fresh vegetables, pickled products, mashed potato, rice or pasta will go perfectly with it as a garnish. Enjoy your meal!
