Bean pate is a tasty and useful snack rich in protein and fiber. It can be the basis for different sandwiches and canape. To get the texture of pate, blend all ingredients with a stand or hand blender. You can cook this pate lenten, excluded salt pork and egg from it. Instead add fried onion or mushrooms. You will get a very delicious and nutritious vegetarian dish.

  • 1. First, lets boil cannellini beans until done. To cook it faster, put beans in cold water in advance. There is one more way to boil beans fast. To do this, pour cold water over beans and bring it to a boil. Pour the boiled water out, pour cold water over beans again, add tablespoon of seed oil and boil cannellini beans until soft for 40-50 minutes.
  • 2. Sift done beans with a strainer and cool them down until a room temperature.
  • 3. Boil an egg hard . Wash a carrot and boil it in the peel until done.
  • 4. Process boiled beans with a mincing machine with a fine grating.
  • 5. Shell boiled egg and cut it into quarters. Finely dice salt pork, cut the peeled boiled carrot into a few pieces.
  • 6. Process all ingredients with a mincing machine too and add the mixture to the beans.
  • 7. Season the mixture with some salt and black ground pepper and then mix it. If the pate is a bit dry, add a tablespoon of fat sour cream or homemade mayonnaise.
  • 8. You can spread pate over the slices of baguette or put on the plate.
