Christmas cookies with jam

Gentle Christmas cookies with jam are a favorite treat for children and adults at all times. The recipes of cookies with jam are so universal that they are practically dont vary in different countries.


  • Butter
    200 g
  • Flour
    250 g
  • Sugar
    100 g
  • Egg
    2 pcs
  • Salt
    1 pinch
  • Strawberry jam
    - to taste


  • 1. Cut the cold butter into cubes. Mix it with flour, sugar and salt, chop into crumbs (this can be done in a blender or in a stationary mixer).
  • 2. Add an egg, continue mixing. When the dough starts to gather into large clumps, stop the mixer and wrap the dough in a cling film. Put it into the refrigerator for several minutes.
  • 3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut out circles. Lay out the cookies on a baking tray covered with a parchment.
  • 4. Bake at 170 degrees for about 12 minutes. Shift the cookies on a grill, and let them cool.
  • 5. Spread strawberry jam on the half of the cookies with a teaspoon. Cover with the others.
  • 6. Optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
