Churros a Spanish dessert that everyone loves

Sometimes you want a dessert but you want the one that is not too sweet, not too long and not too difficult! It is impossible, you will say. The Spanish know this recipe and use it everywhere. Churros (or churro) is a traditional Spanish dessert from a custard dough which is either deep-fried or baked (a lighter version). And if in Italy the main dessert is tiramisu, panna cotta and others, churros in Spain is really a dessert that you can find at every step. Those who were in Spain say that it is sold on the street in mobile places, in cafes, restaurants, it is eaten by both adults and children. How can you not be tempted and not to try it!

Steps

  • 1. As I have already said – it is the brewed dough in the base, it is made easier than it seems. The main thing is to observe technology. At first, melt oil with water on medium heat until homogeneous.
  • 2. Once received a homogeneous mass, add flour. It will be convenient for you to use a silicone spatula, by the way, I strongly recommend you to buy it, you will be surprised how much it helps. Pour in flour and mix well, make sure that the flour is completely mixed with oil, without lumps. After a minute or two, the dough will begin to roll into the ball, continue stirring it until it becomes quite smooth, and also a film will begin to form on the walls of the saucepan.
  • 3. Remove the dough from the fire (let it cool down for 3-5 minutes) and one by one add the eggs. Eggs in the hot dough can begin to curl, so either stir up well and quickly (especially the first egg). But wait for the dough to cool down not for just 5 minutes but a little longer. At the beginning the mixture will begin to separate, do not be scared, just hinder with the spatula well. When you got homogeneous mass, add the next egg. At the very end – a spoonful of sugar.
  • 4. The finished dough is best placed in a confectioner's bag. Take "an asterisk" nozzle – this one is a classic, later you will understand why it is. If you do not have this nozzle – use a round one. If there is no confectionery bag – take any package for food and cut the corner. Putting the dough in a bag is the easiest way to wrap it around the neck of the glass.

  • 5. Crochet long strips of dough on the parchment. You can do in the form of a horseshoe – it is a characteristic form of churros as well.
  • 6. Bake at 200 degrees for 12-15 minutes until the stripes become golden. While the first batch is baking, prepare a wide plate with the sides, mix in it 50 grams of sugar and a 1-2 spoons of cinnamon. Here you can use any spices both sweet and sharp. As soon as you take out churros – immediately roll each one in a sugar mixture and let it completely cool down.
  • 7. When churros are slightly cooled – they can be served. Often they are eaten with some sauces such as chocolate, fruit jams, berry jams and so on. The dessert is very simple, fast and tasty. This is not eclairs to which we are accustomed due to the fact that the sticks are rather thin, they are not empty inside, but soft. Actually, there is a good baked crust outside.
  • 8. Here for the sauce I melted the chocolate bar with a couple of spoons of milk in the microwave. Simple, fast and delicious!
