Ingredients

  • Chicken drumsticks
    6 pcs
  • Red onion
    1 pcs
  • Orange
    1 pcs
  • Honey
    1 tbsp
  • Olive oil
    2 tbsp
  • Ginger

  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    0.25 tsp
  • Seasoning for chicken
    0.25 tsp
  • Fennel
    - to taste

Steps

  • 1. Prepare the marinade. Clean an orange from the peel, cut it into pieces and remove all the bones. Peel and cut the root of the ginger into several parts. Clean the garlic cloves from the husks. Combine the orange, ginger root and garlic in the blender bowl. Grind the components at maximum speed to a homogeneous dense mass.
  • 2. Pour the resulting mixture into a deep bowl. Pour olive oil and liquid honey into it.
  • 3. Add salt and spices to taste. Carefully mix the marinade with a spoon or a corolla so that all components are connected together.
  • 4. Wash and dry chicken drumsticks from water with paper towels. Transfer the meat into orange-ginger marinade.
  • 5. Thoroughly mix the ingredients so that the chicken drumsticks are completely covered with the marinade. After covering the bowl with food film, leave the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes. You can pickle the meat from the evening, leaving it on the shelf of the fridge.
  • 6. Shift the marinated chicken drumsticks in the heat-resistant mold for roasting. At the top of the meat, evenly distribute the remaining marinade.
  • 7. Peel the red onions from the husks and cut them into four parts. Disassemble the bulb on the petals. Add the onion to the chicken.
  • 8. Put the heat-resistant mold with chicken in the oven heated to 200 degrees. Bake the meat for 30-40 minutes, periodically pouring it with marinade and excreted juice. When the calves are browned, take them out from the oven.
  • 9. Finished chicken drumsticks are served hot, sprinkled with crushed fresh dill. In addition, you can serve a side dish of rice, bulgur or potatoes. A fragrant chicken with a crispy crust perfectly complements fresh vegetables or homemade pickles.

    Bon Appetite!
