French cottage pie with honey
There are desserts which taste depends on one ingredient. Their advantage is that after having finished the cooking process, you are able to vary the taste by changing this only ingredient. For instance, in this cottage pie honey is responsible for taste. There many types of honey, it means that a pie can have different taste. Do you want a tender pie? Take linden honey, acacia or something similar to them. Are you waiting for something charismatic? Try to cook with a buckwheat one.

Whole wheat flour280 g

Baking soda2 tsp

Salt- pinch

Nutmeg1/2 tsp

Milk125 g

Honey150 g

Butter60 g

Prunes100 g
Steps

1. Sift dry ingredients in the cup: flour (280 g), baking soda (2 tsp), a pinch of salt and nutmeg (1/2 tsp). Nutmeg can be changed with cinnamon, clove or ginger – up to your taste.

2. Then add eggs (2 pcs) and milk (125 g).

3. Honey (150 g). And melted butter (60 g). How to melt butter? Put in the cup and put into the microwave oven for 10-20 seconds.

4. Cut prunes (100 g) at big pieces and add to dough.

5. Mix well until homogeneous. As you can see, mixer is not necessary here.

6. Put the dough in the oiled and parchment-shaped mold. I have a square 18x18 cm. So, you can use round ones from 20 and higher.

7. Bake at 175 degrees for about 35 minutes. Check it with skewer until the golden crust appears.

8. Let prepared pie to cool down fully on the grille (without mold).

9. Important moment – dessert may be a bit dry depending on the honey, then just impregnate it with any syrup or jam, as you wish. Bon appetite!
