Mustard Chicken Skewers

We prepare a tasty and juicy sour-mustard chicken skewers. Advantage of this recipe is that we will bake skewers in the oven, so it can be cooked all year in any weather. Chicken thighs, cooked in this way, differ with surprisingly delicate taste. I recommend marinating the meat on the shelf of the fridge for at least 2 hours, so that it can soak up the aroma of spices and turn out to be juicy. Serve chicken skewers with a variety of sauces - garlic, tomato, lemon, mushroom or tkemali. Pickled or baked vegetables, salads with fresh herbs can be served as garnish. More satisfying way – potatoes, stewed cabbage or rice.

  • Chicken thigh

  • 1. Prepare the marinade. In a deep bowl, mix fatty sour cream and spicy table mustard. Pour apple cider vinegar, soy sauce and olive oil into the resulting mixture. Add salt, black pepper, paprika and a mixture of Italian herbs.
  • 2. Carefully mix the marinade so that all the ingredients are combined together, and the mixture becomes homogeneous.
  • 3. Prepare chicken thighs. Wash the meat and dry it with napkins. Cut each chicken thigh into two parts.
  • 4. Then shift the pieces of meat into sour-and-mustard marinade.
  • 5. Mix the ingredients so that the chicken is completely covered with the marinade. Cover the bowl with food film, leave the chicken marinated for at least 30 minutes, preferably for several hours. Fill bamboo skewers for cooking chicken skewers in the oven with cold water and leave for 15 minutes.
  • 6. When the chicken is well marinated, put pieces of meat on bamboo skewers. Put them in a heat resistant mold for baking.
  • 7. Put the mold with chicken skewers in a preheated oven to 200 degrees. Bake the meat at a medium level of 30-35 minutes, so that it is completely baked and browned. Periodically, water the pieces of meat with juice, which was released from the chicken during baking. Thus, skewers from chicken thighs will turn out juicy, with a tasty ripe crust.
  • 8. Serve prepared dish hot, sprinkled with fresh parsley. Meat, according to this recipe, is perfectly combined with any side dishes, garlic or tomato sauce.
