Granola a perfect breakfast and not only

So I got to a good breakfast! For a very long time I looked closely at the granola, read the recipes, but then I stopped. Although, I had curiosity – what is it, why does everyone love it so much and what are its strengths. So, this is, perhaps, one of the best options for breakfast (especially for ladies). Now I will speak about everything in order. It is very similar to muesli, but granola is more delicious at times, all because of the way of cooking. It is baked to a crispy state; use honey (which caramelizes, adding a crust). This, of course, are its big advantages and distinctive features.

Steps

  • 1. The most important thing here is to remember the proportions. And then you can experiment to your taste and take into account those products that are at hand. You can use any nuts and seeds, as well as any combination of them. The same goes for the berry part – you can take dried fruits, berries, candied fruits – again, in any proportions.
  • 2. This is very convenient when you can adjust the dessert recipe for yourself, and not risk losing texture or other basic properties of the product at all. Also, buy with juice and honey.
  • 3. Now, look – cut nuts and seeds into slices of a comfortable size for you. So it will be more convenient to eat them later. Here I took cashews, pistachios, almonds, walnuts and cedar in equal parts.
  • 4. Mix the chopped nuts and oat flakes in a bowl. Take the real ones, not those (according to the packaging) that are prepared in 2-3 minutes!

  • 5. Then liquid ingredients. Mix honey, juice, butter, cinnamon, salt and pepper in a saucepan. Put on the fire and, stirring, wait until all the ingredients are combined, and salt will dissolve. It is necessary to boil nothing.
  • 6. Pour hot liquid into dry ingredients and mix well, do not be lazy. Put it in a form covered with parchment (although it is not that necessary).
  • 7. Bake in the oven at 160 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Take the mold out every 10 minutes and mix everything well. It is to ensure that the granola is good and (most importantly) evenly baked.
  • 8. While baking granola, cut the berries (if they are large) to the size of pieces of nuts.

  • 9. After removing the granola, let it cool completely down. At first it will be rather soft, even moist. Do not be scared, it will become exactly the right, crisp texture when cooling. And compare, what golden it turns out.
  • 10. Add dry berries in the cooled granola and mix everything again.
  • 11. So you got that treasured granola, about which there are legends in America and all over the world. It is eaten with milk and fresh fruits for breakfast. Add yogurt and get a separate dessert. Make bars and so on.
  • 12. Very cool, when you can experiment with a product. Needless to say that this is a very useful product – we do not use chemicals, nuts and berries are also not subjected to excessive processing.
  • 13. It is easy to keep granola in a closed can for a couple of weeks and even longer without losing its properties and taste.
