Scotch Egg
Sometimes it happens that for the implementation of an event, several events must occur (or rather happen). So it was with this recipe. On the one hand, I have wanted to cook them for long time and even began to consider the canons and basic recipes. On the other one, there is an excellent occasion – Easter. That is when you can wander around in terms of eggs, because I am sure there will be a lot of them and even, perhaps, you will begin to think whether "where to attach them."
So, I urge you – prepare. At least two, and preferably 6-8 eggs for the whole family. This taste just blows the head and it is not an exaggeration. See for yourself – outside there is a crispy double breading, then a layer of fragrant minced meat with your and only your favorite spices and herbs, in the center – an egg with a juicy yolk. If you serve them hot – you will get a pleasant warmth of mince and a small amount of juice. Oh, how delicious!
Ingredients
-
Egg4 pcs
-
Chicken mince250 g
-
Chili sauce1 tbsp
-
Dill20 g
-
Bread crumbs150 g
-
Whole wheat flour3 tbsp
Steps
-
1. First of all, boil the eggs. If you make them for this recipe – necessarily soft-boiled, so it will be much tastier. But the "Easter" ones will suit as well.
-
2. Next, combine the chicken mincemeat (the original uses minced meat for meat sausages, but I like a softer chicken taste, and it is somehow more symbolic for the egg), spices and herbs in a large bowl. I use hot chili, dill, salt and freshly ground pepper. But all at your discretion.
-
3. Now prepare three cups: with flour, breadcrumbs and well beaten eggs.
-
4. Take half of minced meat in your hand and flatten it in the palm of your hand. It is very convenient if the hands are a little wet, then the minced meat will not stick to your hands.
-
5. Roll the egg in flour, so it will be good to keep minced meat. Put it in the center of the prepared flat cake and gently wrap the egg with minced meat.
-
6. Everything that remains is to roll the received ball first in breadcrumbs, then in the egg mixture and again breadcrumbs, egg mixture and again breadcrumbs.
-
7. Heat oil in a saucepan on medium heat and fry each egg until golden brown.
-
8. Spread on a paper towel so that the oil is absorbed into it and fry the next egg. If you doubt that the minced meat had time to be fried inside – put the eggs in the oven for 5 minutes, but I am sure it is not necessary.
-
9. Once again – definitely do this, it is very tasty, then remember my words!
