Sweet-and-Sour Korean Meatballs

My friends, I sinned again – brought you a new recipe for meatballs. This time they are made of beef and complemented by a very tasty sour-sweet sauce based on apricot marmalade. Advantage of this recipe is that the meatballs are not fried in a pan, but baked in the oven on a baking sheet. And this means that they: a) no longer require your constant presence from the moment of molding and putting into the oven and b) they will not fall apart when frying from constant turning.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef
    1 pcs
  • Apricot marmalade
    200 g
  • Egg
    1 pcs
  • Ginger
    1 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs
    3 tbsp
  • Garlic
    3 clove
  • Soy sauce
    60 ml
  • Apple cider vinegar
    15 ml
  • Corn starch
    15 g
  • Tabasco
    1 tbsp
  • Parsley
    - to taste

Steps

  • 1. Put the ground beef in a bowl. Add the grated ginger and garlic, egg, bread crumbs, hot sauce, chopped greens, salt and pepper.
  • 2. Mix it.
  • 3. Form meatballs of the size of a small mandarin and put them on a baking sheet.
  • 4. Put it into the oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake until ready for about 25 minutes. Prepare the sauce. To do this, mix the starch with soy sauce, add apricot jam and vinegar. Stir. Put on the fire and with constant stirring bring to a boil. Cook for half a minute and turn it off.
  • 5. Transfer finished meatballs to a bowl, add the sauce and mix. Serve with rice.
  • 6. Bon Appetit!
