Chicken Fritters with Semolina and Apples

Unusual combination of chicken fillet with sweet-sour apple makes these fritters incredibly delicate and juicy. Fruits give a faint aroma and taste to prepared meal, though apples themselves aren’t guessed in fritters. Recipe can be changed for diet or baby nutrition, if baked in the oven or steamed. As side dish can be baked vegetables or pasta. Great additions are mustard or spicy home-made sauces.

  • Chicken fillet
    700 g
  • Onion

  • Semolina
    30 g
  • Bread crumbs
    100 g
  • Olive oil
    100 ml
  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Paprika
    0.25 tsp
  • Seasoning for chicken
    0.25 tsp
  • Dill

  • Parsley
    - to taste


  • 1. Wash chicken fillet, dry with paper napkins. Clean meat from fat, cut fillet into pieces of middle size.
  • 2. Put pieces of chiсken fillet into blender bowl. Add to chicken largely cut onion and apple slices without peel.
  • 3. Chop ingredients into a homogeneous and thick minced meat.  Move the ground meat into a deep bowl.
  • 4. Add semolina, salt, pepper and seasoning to minced chicken.
  • 5. Carefully mix ground meat. Leave it for 30 minutes for semolina to enlarge.
  • 6. From small amount of minced meat make round fritter. Roll it in bread crumbs. In this way make all the fritters. You get about 12 fritters.
  • 7. Put half-made fritters on the frying pan with preheated oil.
  • 8. Fry chicken fritters until golden brown on both sides.
  • 9. Put ready-made chicken fritters on a dish covered with paper towels to remove excess butter.
  • 10. Serve chicken fritters with semolina and apple hot with a side dish of potatoes, rice or fresh vegetables salad.
