Pineapple Sweet-Sour Chicken

The sweet-sour sauce which combines pineapples, paprika, juicy tomatoes and soy sauce, holds strongly the first places in the culinary rating of many gourmets. Made in sweet-sour sauce with pineapples the chicken has rich refined taste and gentle aroma. For fans of spicy it is possible to add hot tomato sauce or small chopped chili pepper to vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet
    350 g
  • Tinned pineapple
    150 g
  • Red bell pepper
    1 pcs
  • Tomato
    1 pcs
  • Egg
    1 pcs
  • Tomato paste
    1 tbsp
  • Garlic
    3-4 clove
  • Cornstarch
    2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce
    2 tbsp
  • Rice vinegar
    1 tbsp
  • Olive oil
    3 tbsp
  • Sugar
    1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds
    0.5 tsp
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste



Steps

  • 1. Wash chicken fillet, dry with paper napkins. Clean meat from fat and foams, cut fillet into pieces of middle size. Season with black pepper and salt.
  • 2. Add cornstarch to the chicken fillet. Thoroughly mix, so chicken pieces are covered with cornstarch.
  • 3. In a small bowl whip one chicken egg. Dip into egg each piece of chicken fillet covered with cornstarch.
  • 4. Put the chicken fillet on the preheated frying pan with oil. Fry meat to golden crust on each side.
  • 5. Put fried chicken fillet on the plate with paper napkins to remove the extra oil.
  • 6. Put the largely cut paprika and small chopped garlic on the preheated pan with some oil. Stir from time to time and fry to light brown.
  • 7. Then add largely cut tomato to the vegetables. Mix and continue fry all together for a few minutes.
  • 8. After that, pour soy sauce and rice vinegar to frying pan. Add tomato paste and some sugar. Mix to homogeneous consistence.
  • 9. When the mixture boils again, add largely cut tinned pineapples to it.
  • 10. Afterwards, send the fried chicken fillet to a frying pan.
  • 11. Stir from time to time warm up the chicken fillet in the sour-sweet sauce for about 3-5 minutes. Then turn off the fire.
  • 12. Ready-made dish serve with side dish of rice or pasta.
