Pink Salmon Salad with Cucumber and Yogurt Dressing

Tasty and fresh smoked pink salmon and cucumber salad will be perfectly suitable for a light dinner. For preparation of dressing we will use natural yogurt with neutral taste, at the request it is possible to replace it with low-fat sour cream. The saturated smoked taste of red fish is well combined with a fresh cucumber, greenery and juicy dressing, leaving pleasant aftertaste. This salad can be used as daily and as a festive dish. The recipe can be varied with adding of boiled eggs, avocado, cherry tomatoes, cubes of sheep cheese or slices of hard cheese.

  • Smoked pink salmon
    150 g
  • Cucumber
    1 pcs
  • Red onion
    0.5 pcs
  • Garlic
    2 clove
  • Yogurt
    150 ml
  • Lettuce leaves
    30 g
  • Beet leaves
    30 g
  • Dill
    - to taste
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste


  • 1. Wash lettuce and beet leaves and dry from excess moisture. If necessary cut on several parts. Let's lay out greens on a plate.
  • 2. Wash a fresh cucumber and cut into thin long slices by means of the peeler. Let's curtail vegetable slices into rolls and lay out on a plate.
  • 3. Cut a smoked pink salmon into thin pieces and add to salad.
  • 4. Clean red onions from a peel and cut into thin rings. Let's add a ring of red onions to salad.
  • 5. Let's prepare dressing. In separate ware let’s combine the natural yogurt, black ground pepper, passed through a press garlic cloves and small chopped dill greenery. Mix dressing to homogeneous consistence.
  • 6. Pour ready yogurt dressing over a smoked pink salmon cucumber salad. Decorate a ready dish with greenery of fresh dill.
  • 7. Serve ready-made pick salmon cucumber salad with yogurt dressing right after preparation.
