Flaxseed Porridge with Nuts and Sesame

There is nothing more usefully, than flaxseed porridge for breakfast. Flaxseed is full of vitamins and minerals which are necessary for a human body. At the same time it’s very easy to make such useful porridge. Porridge can be cooked on water or milk, depending on the desirable number of calories in a finished dish. Naturally, porridge on milk will be more caloric, than water-based porridge. Flaxseed porridge does not demand cooking, grains perfectly bulk up during long-term insisting in liquid. So that porridge was digested better, the inflated grains need to be crushed carefully in the blender to homogeneous consistence. To increase usefulness of a dish and also to make taste of porridge richer, it is possible to add nuts or fruit to it (at will).


Ingredients

  • Flaxseeds
    50 g
  • Water
    100 ml
  • Sesame seeds
    1 tsp
  • Walnuts
    20 g
  • Liquid honey
    1 tbsp



Steps

  • 1. Wet flaxseed grains in water for the night. It should not be lots of water, just enough to cover flaxseed. Mix so that all grains fall to a bottom.
  • 2. After some time flaxseed will absorb almost all liquid and will become softer and larger, and mixture itself will be sticky and viscous.
  • 3. Throw all substance in a blender bowl and blend at high speeds in several approaches. If the used blender doesn’t have strong capacity, then grains can be crushed not completely. In this case it is better to use the meat grinder, or to leave a part of grains in the whole look.
  • 4. Pour sesame and crushed kernels of walnuts into mix.
  • 5. Turn on the blender once again, as much as possible crushing its contents.
  • 6. As sweetener add liquid honey. Porridge turns out of ideal consistence and taste. For receiving more liquid porridge, it can be diluted with milk or water, after this blend again.
  • 7. Porridge is served on a table in cold. It can be decorated with nuts, grains of flaxseed and sesame and also fresh mint.
