Russian Pan-Fried Potatoes with Mushrooms

This dish is quite ordinary so it is suitable for a nourishing lunch of the family. Potato is perfectly combined with any kind of mushrooms. Today we use oyster mushrooms, they do not lose their shape, do not break up, remain juicy and elastic. All ingredients are fried in one frying pan, but as oyster mushrooms emit a lot of juice during frying, potatoes can be sometimes prepared separately, and then onions and mushrooms are added to it.

How to cook Russian Pan-Fried Potatoes with Mushrooms


  • 1. Peel tubers of potatoes, wash, cut into straws of middle thickness and throw into liquid.
  • 2. Heat well a spacious frying pan on a cooking surface, pour in oil. Remove potatoes straws from water, dry and place in hot oil. Establish heat slightly above medium and do not cover a frying pan. Mix potatoes each 5 minutes, it does not need to be done too often otherwise straws of potatoes will lose the integrity. Let’s salt potatoes approximately in 10 minutes after loading.
  • 3. Peel onion, cut vegetable in small cubes and throw in a frying pan when potatoes are almost ready. Mix and reduce fire so that onions do not burn.
  • 4. Wash up oyster mushrooms, cut largely and add to potatoes in a few minutes after laying out onions. So that mushrooms are fried well, for a while shift potatoes in one side, and in 5 minutes connect components by mixing.
  • 5. Cover ware and stew mix for 5 minutes on low fire, later remove from a cooking surface and let infuse for 10 minutes.
  • 6. Spread out a ready dish on portion plates.
