Ready jam needs to be stored in a glass container with a lid on the fridge shelf. If you want to prepare delicacy for the winter, spread out hot jam in the sterilized glass jars, close with metal lids and roll up by means of the special machine. Gooseberry, orange and lemon jam according to this recipe turns out very fragrant, the special note to it is given by cinnamon and clove. After cooling jam becomes very dense and reminds fruit jelly.

Steps

  • 1. Peel orange and a half of a lemon, remove membranes and pits. Let's cut pulp of citrus on small pieces and shift them in a blender bowl.
  • 2. Crush orange and a lemon half to homogeneous dense substance.
  • 3. Wash gooseberries, sort, cut off tails and stems. Let's shift berries in a blender bowl.
  • 4. Crush gooseberries to homogeneous thick puree.
  • 5. In a pan with a thick bottom let’s combine the crushed citrus and gooseberries. Add granulated sugar, a stick of cinnamon and cloves for aroma. Let's mix.
  • 6. Let's put a pan on low fire. Constantly stirring slowly, bring mix to boiling and boil thoroughly for 5 minutes. Then grind a mix from berries and citrus through a sieve to remove all pits.
  • 7. Then return a pan with gooseberry jam on low fire. Periodically stirring slowly, we will stew it for 20 minutes so that it’s thickened. After the specified time accurately pour gooseberry jam in dry glassware.
  • 8. Let's cool ready jam to the room temperature then close the jar with the lid and send it to the fridge.
