Baked Pollock with Sour Cream Sauce and Pickles

The pollock baked in sour cream sauce in an oven turns out very gentle and juicy. The special juicy note to fish is given by pickles and garlic which are parts of sauce. If you have an opportunity, marinate pieces of fish in ready sour cream sauce for several hours before the start of preparation. So the pollock will turn out even tastier and more fragrant.

Ingredients

  • Pollock
    2 pcs
  • Pickles
    3 pcs
  • Sour cream
    150 g
  • Vegetable oil
    2 tbsp
  • Garlic
    2-3 clove
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste
  • Dill
    50 g



Steps

  • 1. Wash fish and cut off tails and fins. Сut a belly lengthways and remove interiors and a black skin. Once again carefully wash out pollock carcasses then dry them from excess moisture with paper towels. Let's cut fish on portion pieces.
  • 2. Grease a heat resisting ware for roasting with a small amount of the vegetable oil. Let's rub pieces of a pollock with mix from salt and ground seasonings for fish. Lay out pieces of fish in the prepared ware.
  • 3. Grate pickles on a large cloth of grater. You don’t need to peel the vegetables in advance.
  • 4. Add the garlic cloves which are passed through a press and small chopped dill greenery to the crushed pickles.
  • 5. Add sour cream of medium fat content to the received mix. Let's mix sauce to homogeneous consistence.
  • 6. Evenly distribute sour cream sauce over pieces of pollock. Send fish to the oven warmed up to 180 degrees. Bake a pollock in sour cream sauce with pickles for 25-30 minutes. During this time fish has to prepare completely and redden.
  • 7. Ready dish serve hot with a side dish from rice or potatoes.
