Chicken with 40 Garlic Cloves

Chicken with 40 garlic cloves is an unusually delicious recipe that everyone should try. Simple and available products are used to make a delightful dish that will be suitable both to the everyday menu and the holiday table. The chicken is very gentle and juicy. Garlic sauce gives it an amazing taste and aroma. Mashed potato or rice is ideal as a side dish. For the recipe it is possible to use a whole carcass of chicken cut into portion pieces.

  • Chicken thigh
    1 kg
  • Garlic
    40 clove
  • Dry white wine
    150 ml
  • Chicken broth
    200 ml
  • Italian herb
    1 tsp
  • Bay leaf
    3 pcs
  • Vegetable oil
    75 ml

  • 1. Wash chicken thighs and dry from excess moisture with paper towels. Rub pieces of meat with a mixture of salt, black ground pepper and dried Italian herbs. Put the meat skin down on a frying pan with heated vegetable oil. Fry the chicken thighs to the golden crust on both sides.
  • 2. Transfer the fried meat to a pan, cover with a lid and a towel to keep the chicken warm.
  • 3. On the frying pan in which we fried the chicken, let’s put the peeled garlic cloves. Stirring, we will fry garlic until a light golden brown.
  • 4. When the garlic is browned, pour dry white wine into the pan. Let’s stew the mixture on a low fire for 5-7 minutes to evaporate the alcohol.
  • 5. Then pour chicken broth in a frying pan.
  • 6. Add salt, black ground pepper and bay leaves to the sauce for aroma.
  • 7. Shift fried chicken thighs in the frying pan.
  • 8. Covering the pan with a lid, let’s stew chicken thighs in sauce on low fire for 30 minutes. During this time the meat will be fully prepared and will become very gentle and juicy. Serve the ready chicken together with sauce and garlic cloves in hot form, decorated with fresh greenery.
