Walnuts Breaded Cauliflower

If you like cauliflower then pay attention to the simple and delicious recipe for a cauliflower snack in a nut batter. Vegetables are very juicy and fragrant. Thanks to the batter the cauliflower turns out crispy on the outside and gentle on the inside. This recipe is another successful way to cook seasonal vegetables, be sure to try.

  • Cauliflower
    1 kg
  • Egg
    2 pcs
  • Milk
    150 ml
  • Whole wheat flour
    3-4 tbsp
  • Walnuts
    0.5 glass
  • Garlic
    3 clove
  • Turmeric
    0.25 tsp
  • Vegetable oil
    100 ml
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste


  • 1. Wash cauliflower and sort into small curds.
  • 2. Lower the cauliflower into boiling salted water. Prepare the curds for 5 minutes, after that let’s shift them in a sieve and cool down to room temperature.
  • 3. By means of blender ground walnut kernels into small crumbs.
  • 4. To prepare a batter, in separate ware let’s combine milk and 2 chicken eggs. Whip the mixture by means of wire whisk to homogeneous consistence.
  • 5. Then add wheat flour sifted through sieve to the batter and mix.
  • 6. Add ground walnuts to the batter.
  • 7. Salt the batter and seasoning it with ground spices. For aroma let’s add garlic cloves passed through the press. Mix the batter to homogeneity. It should get thick sour cream consistence.
  • 8. Put blanched cauliflower in the ready batter, and then put the curds on a pan with heated vegetable oil.
  • 9. Fry the cauliflower in the nut batter on the medium heat to the golden crust from all sides. Let’s put the ready snack on a dish covered with paper towels to remove the excess oil.
  • 10. Serve cauliflower snack in nut batter in hot form, decorated with fresh greenery. You can supplement the dish with spicy ketchup, cheese or garlic sauce.
