Chicken Salad with Grapes and Walnuts (Tiffany Salad)

Today we will prepare a very delicious and beautiful salad «Tiffany» made of chicken fillet, grapes and walnuts. Thanks to the unusual design, the salad «Tiffany» looks like an exquisite jewelry made of precious stones. That's probably why the dish got its name. This salad is not only beautiful, but also incredibly gentle. A special piquant note of the dish is given by chicken meat fried with curry seasoning. The grape makes the salad juicy and gives it a light sweet note that combines perfectly with the rest of the ingredients. So, grapes do not only add freshness to a dish, but also serves as a decoration of salad. Walnuts can be replaced with almonds if desired.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet
    300 g
  • Grapes
    300 g
  • Cheese
    150 g
  • Egg
    4 pcs
  • Walnuts
    0.5 glass
  • Mayonnaise
    100 g
  • Vegetable oil
    50 ml
  • Curry
    0.5 tsp
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste



Steps

  • 1. Wash the chicken fillet, dry from excess moisture with paper towels. Cut meat along into halves, salt, season with black ground pepper and curry on both sides. Put the meat in a pan with pre-heated vegetable oil. Fry the chicken fillet to the golden crust on both sides. Let’s put the finished meat on a dish covered with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • 2. Cool to room temperature chicken fillet, cut into bars and lay down on the bottom of a deep salad plate.
  • 3. Crush walnut kernels into large crumbs with a knife or with a blender.
  • 4. Lay out crushed walnut kernels on the top of meat, leaving one teaspoon for decoration. Put a thin net from mayonnaise from above.
  • 5. Grate hard cheese on a large grater.
  • 6. Put the hard cheese into the salad plate, distributing evenly on all perimeter. Grease the cheese layer with a small amount of mayonnaise.
  • 7. Boil chicken eggs hard, cool down to room temperature, shell and grate on a large grater.
  • 8. Put grated eggs on the top of hard cheese. Salt egg layer a little to taste and grease it with a small amount of sauce.
  • 9. Wash green grapes, cut into halves and remove the seeds. Lay out grapes halves above the egg layer, forming the flower.
  • 10. Distribute the rest of crushed walnut kernels above the grapes. Let’s send the ready «Tiffany» salad to the fridge for 1-2 hours, so that it impregnates.
