Sweet Pepper Baked with Cottage Cheese and Greenery

Stuffed sweet pepper is a simple and delicious dish loved by everyone. More often, a mixture of meat and rice, browned vegetables or mushrooms is used as a filling for sweet peppers. Today I suggest preparing more dietary version of this dish. We will bake sweet pepper in an oven with filling from cottage cheese and chopped greenery. The harmonious combination of products turns stuffed bell pepper into a delicious festive dish. In addition to dill and parsley for filling, you can use any greenery you like, such as basil, celery or cilantro.

Steps

  • 1. At first let’s prepare the vegetables. Wash sweet pepper and cut into halves lengthwise. Gently cut out the seed box without removing stem so that the sweet pepper holds the shape.
  • 2. Now let’s do the filling for sweet pepper. In deep ware connect cottage cheese (I used medium fat) and 2 chicken eggs. Mix the mixture until homogeneity.
  • 3. Add salt and black ground pepper to the filling to taste.
  • 4. Then add to the mixture garlic cloves passed through the press and finely chopped dill and parsley.

  • 5. Mix the filling thoroughly, achieving homogeneous consistence.
  • 6. Place the prepared halves of sweet pepper in a heat-resistant ware and grease with vegetable oil. Fill vegetables with ready cottage cheese filling.
  • 7. Above the filling let’s put grated hard cheese.
  • 8. Send stuffed vegetables to the oven heated to 180 degrees. Bake sweet peppers with cottage cheese filling at the medium level for 20-25 minutes. During this time the vegetables should completely bake and the hard cheese melts and reddens.

  • 9. Serve the ready stuffed pepper in hot form as the main dish.
  • 10. Bon Appetite!
