Homemade Apple Pie

In the process of preparation vanilla layer is impregnated with apple juice, which makes it juicy and especially tasty. The recipe is quite simple and fast, but the result is beyond all expectations. A gentle, mouth-melting pastry with juicy apples and air meringue is excellent combination! Try to cook this recipe in your kitchen and you won’t regret.

  • Whole wheat flour

  • Sugar
    160 g
  • Sour cream
    150 g
  • Mayonnaise
    150 g
  • Powdered sugar
    1 tbsp
  • Baking soda
    1 tsp
  • Vinegar
    1 tbsp
  • Vanillin
    1 pinch
  • Salt
    1 pinch


  • 1. In deep bowl let’s connect half of sugar (80 g) and 3 chicken yolks. Whip the mixture by means of mixer for 5 minutes to obtain thick and light mass.
  • 2. Then add sour cream to the egg mixture.
  • 3. Add mayonnaise of high quality to the dough. Mix the ingredients with a mixer to a homogeneous consistence.
  • 4. Then add to the dough baking soda mixed with vinegar and mix carefully.
  • 5. Let’s add sifted wheat flour into the dough. Using a rubber spatula, mix the pie dough to a homogeneous consistence.
  • 6. Grease the heat-resistant form for baking with diameter of 22 cm with butter and sift with bread crumbs. Pour the ready dough into the ware and even it with rubber spatula. Send the pie to the oven heated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  • 7. Wash apples, peel, remove the core and cut into thin slices. Add sugar powder to cut apples, mix.
  • 8. When the pastries roll up, let's get it out of the oven. Put on the pie slices of apples mixed with sugar powder.
  • 9. In deep dish connect 3 egg whites, the remaining sugar (80 g) and a pinch of salt. Whip the mixture with a mixer to stable peaks.
  • 10. Put the sugar-whipped egg whites on top of the apple layer.
  • 11. Send the pie to the oven heated to 180 degrees for another 7-10 minutes so that the whipped egg whites are browned.
  • 12. Cool completely the ready pie, cut into portion pieces and serve with tea or coffee. Bon Appetite!
