Tangerine Cake Sharlotka

What could be more delicious than home-made pastries cooked with love? Today for dessert will bake incredibly tasty, air and fragrant country tangerine cake (a.k.a. Sharlotka). I was making a pie in a 900 watt multi-cooker. Also the sharlotka can be baked in the oven at 180 degrees, preparation will take 35-40 minutes. The gentle tangerine pie rises well during the baking process and turns out very gentle, with a flavored citrus note. This simple and delicious pastry is perfect for cold winter evenings.

  • Whole wheat flour
    170 g
  • Egg
    3 pcs
  • Sugar
    250 g
  • Tangerines
    3 pcs
  • Corn starch
    1 tbsp
  • Vanillin
    1 pinch
  • Cinnamon
    0.25 tsp
  • Salt
    1 pinch
  • Powdered sugar
    1 tsp


  • 1. In deep bowl let’s connect 3 chicken eggs, sugar and vanillin.
  • 2. Using a mixer, whip the mixture for 10 minutes to obtain a gassy and light mass.
  • 3. Then add corn starch, ground cinnamon, vanillin and a pinch of salt to the dough. Mix the dough with a silicone spoon.
  • 4. In several steps let’s add sieved wheat flour into the mixture, each time mixing the dough to homogeneous consistence.
  • 5. As a result, there should be homogeneous and thick dough, similar to thick sour cream in consistence.
  • 6. Clean tangerines from peel and white fibers, divide into segments and add to the ready dough. Mix gently.
  • 7. Grease the cup of multicooker with butter and cover the bottom with baking paper. Put the dough in the prepared bowl of multicooker and even.
  • 8. Bake sharlotka with tangerines for 50 minutes on "Baking" mode. Take the ready pie gently out of the bowl, using the form for steaming food.
  • 9. Cool the fragrant sharlotka with tangerines to room temperature on a wire rack, decorate with sugar powder and serve with tea, coffee or cocoa.
