Boiled Omelette

Traditionally, the omelette is cooked in a frying pan or baked in an oven. But few hostesses know that omelette can be boiled. To keep it in form, the egg mixture is poured into a bag and lowered into boiling water. In 10 minutes you will get juicy, gentle and very tasty boiled omelette. The recipe is considered as basic. In the future you can supplement the omelette with other ingredients to your taste. These can be pieces of bacon, boiled chicken fillet, cut champignons, various vegetables and fresh greenery. Boiled omelette in the bag is prepared without addition of vegetable oil, preserving all useful features of eggs. Therefore, such a dish is excellent for children's or diet menu.

Omelet in a Bag


Steps

  • 1. Break 3 chicken eggs in a deep bowl.
  • 2. Pour to eggs cold milk, add salt.
  • 3. Whip the mixture with a wire whisk to a homogeneous consistence, as require the boiled omelette recipe.
  • 4. Put one into another 2 cellophane bags and put them in a deep bowl. Gently pour into a bag an egg-milk mixture.
  • 5. Leave an empty space inside and tie both bags into a tight knot.
  • 6. Fill half the big pan with water, put it on high fire. When the water boils, gently put the bag with the future omelette into the pan.
  • 7. Cook the omelette in a bag on low fire for 10 minutes. Then cast it away together with the bag on the colander so that the water drains. Carefully cut the bag, transfer the ready omelette to the plate.
  • 8. Cut ready omelette into pieces, season with freshly ground black pepper and decorate with fresh greenery.
