Mushroom Sandwiches

Delicious and fragrant sandwiches with mushrooms, the recipe of which I recommend you to cook, will turn Sunday breakfast into a real holiday. It’s convenient to take these crispy sandwiches with you on the trip or to a picnic. Such a snack will be excellent for a family meeting or a friendly party. The mushroom filling can be prepared in advance and stored in a fridge. Then before the guests arrive you will only need to put the ready filling on slices of bread, sprinkle them with grated cheese and bake in the oven. In 10 minutes you will have delicious sandwiches with mushrooms under a brown cheese cap.

  • White bread
    4 pcs
  • Champignon
    150 g
  • Onion
    1 pcs
  • Garlic
    1 clove
  • Cheese
    100 g
  • Olive oil
    30 ml
  • Mayonnaise
    1-2 tbsp
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste


  • 1. Add garlic cloves passed through the press to mayonnaise. Mix the mixture until homogeneous.
  • 2. Cut white bread into slices with thickness of 1 cm. Grease bread with a small amount of mayonnaise with garlic.
  • 3. Wash champignons, peel and cut into thin slices.
  • 4. Put mushrooms in a pre-heated with olive oil frying pan. Stir and fry champignons on low fire until all the liquid evaporates from the frying pan.
  • 5. Peel onions and cut into small cubes.
  • 6. Add ground onions to the champignons. Stir and continue to fry the ingredients together until ready.
  • 7. At the end of the preparation, let’s salt and season champignons with onions with black ground pepper.
  • 8. Put the mushroom filling on slices of white bread greased with mayonnaise. Let’s transfer the sandwiches to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • 9. Grate hard cheese on a large grater.
  • 10. Distribute grated cheese evenly on sandwiches.
  • 11. Send champignons sandwiches to a 180 degree heated oven for 7-10 minutes. When the cheese melts and reddens, get sandwiches with mushrooms from the oven, the photo is attached.
  • 12. Decorate ready champignons sandwiches with fresh dill and serve in hot form.
