If you like to experiment on the kitchen, try cooking battered tomatoes, the recipe for which I will tell you today. The dish is very easy to cook. It is only necessary to cut peeled vegetables into rings, dip them in batter and fry them until ready in a frying pan. The result is delicious and original snack, which can be served both hot and cold. Thanks to the piquant cheese batter, vegetables are juicy and fragrant. For the recipe, choose ripe but hard tomatoes with a dense peel. Tomatoes fried in batter will become an excellent addition for barbecue or chicken baked in the oven.

  • 1. In deep bowl, combine chicken egg, sour cream and salt. Using a wire whisk, whip the mixture to a homogeneous consistence.
  • 2. Grate hard cheese on a large grater and add it to the batter.
  • 3. Mix the batter again until homogeneous.
  • 4. Wash fresh tomatoes. Let’s make a cross cut on each fruit. Put the vegetables in boiling water for 1 minute. Then clean the tomatoes from the peel.
  • 5. Cut the tomatoes into circles 5 mm thick.
  • 6. Pour each circle of tomato with a mixture of black ground pepper, paprika and dry garlic.
  • 7. Let's put a circle of tomato in the cheese batter so that it is completely covered with it.
  • 8. Transfer the tomatoes in a frying pan with pre-heated vegetable oil.
  • 9. Fry circles of vegetables on a medium heat to a golden crust on both sides.
  • 10. Put ready-made tomatoes in a batter (recipes with photos attached) on a plate covered with paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve the battered fried red tomatoes warm, decorated with fresh greenery.
