Baked Batata
Batata cut into strips, rolled in flavory spices and baked in the oven can be an excellent alternative to popular french fries. The most difficult thing is to find batata which is still rare one even in the biggest hypermarkets.

1. Amount of spices and salt is to your own taste.Quantity of batatas depends on the size of tubers. Here, big tubers were used. Peel batatas and cut into strips. Soak cut batatas in cold water for 30 minutes to make it crispy when cooked. Prepare baking sheet covered with baking paper and pre -heat the oven to 200-205Ā°C

3. Put batata stripes side by side on the baking sheet and get it into the oven for 15-20 minutes. Then turn each strip over and put in the oven for another 15-20 minutes. Total baking time depends on a particular oven. Make sure your spices donāt burn, otherwise it can be bitter. Serve your dish the moment itās ready due to cooled batata will lose its crispy feature.
