Pizza with Nectarine

What pizza do we usually choose in a pizza house or cook at home? Meat, fish or cheese one. But the range of popular italian dish doesn’t limit with only these types of pizza. Try pizza with unusual flavour like nectarine, two types or cheese and red onion. Better take not very ripe and unsweet nectarines.

  • Whole wheat flour
    175 g
  • Yeast powder
    4 g
  • Sugar
    1/2 tbsp
  • Salt
    1/2 tsp
  • Water
    100 ml
  • Flax seed oil
    1 tbsp
  • Nectarine
    2 pcs
  • Cheddar cheese
    100 g
  • Parmesan cheese
    100 g
  • Red onion
    1 pcs
  • Olive oil
    1/2 tbsp
  • Italian herb
    - to taste

Pizza With Nectarine


  • 1. Prepare all ingredients. 
If you don’t have cheddar cheese you can use any well-melting cheese like gouda, edam, etc. Heat some water to 36-37°C.
  • 2. Cook the dough for pizza. 
Mix flour with yeast powder. Combine water, seed oil, salt and sugar in another bowl and mix well to make all crystals incorporate. 
  • 3. Combine dry and liquid ingredients and knead soft dough. Kneading time is quite long for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is elastic and not sticky. Then place your dough in an oiled bowl, cover it and leave in a warm place for 30-40 minutes or until it increases in volume.  
  • 4. When the dough is ready preheat the oven to 200-205°C. Covet a baking sheet with baking paper. 

  • 5. Roll the dough to thin layer. It can be either round or oval, it doesn’t matter. Sprinkle the dough with olive oil and put it into the oven for 3-5 minutes. It's done to prevent the dough from getting warm from baking nectarine which will produce some juice. 

  • 6. While baking, let’s prepare ingredients for the stuffing. Slice nectarine and cut onion into rings. Finely grate two types of cheese. 

  • 7. Take the pizza base out of the oven. Now it is a bit baked and has some bubbles on the top. 

  • 8. Spread the stuffing over the pizza base. Cheese goes the first and then onion rings. 

  • 9. After put nectarine slices and sprinkle with remained cheese. Add salt, black or white pepper to your taste.

  • 10. Place pizza into the oven and bake it for another 10 minutes or until the dough is ready. 

  • 11. Being cooked, season pizza with fresh herbs, cut into pieces and serve.
