I offer you a simple and budget recipe that will help you quickly and deliciously feed the whole family or a large number of guests. We'll bake chicken meat in the oven on a vegetable pillow. The roast chicken in a bag with cabbage is very tender, juicy and tasty. During baking, vegetables are impregnated with meat juice and become very soft and fragrant. For the recipe, you can use any part of the chicken: wings, drumsticks, thighs or whole legs. A marinade of soy sauce, honey and lemon juice gives the chicken a piquant sour-sweet note and forms an appetizing golden crust on top.

  • 1. First let’s make a marinade for chicken. In a deep bowl, combine liquid honey, soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix the mixture until homogeneous consistency.
  • 2. Wash chicken thighs and dry from excess moisture with paper towels. Put the prepared meat in a bowl with marinade. Mix so that the chicken thighs are completely covered with a fragrant mixture. Let's leave the meat for at least 30 minutes so that it gets marinated.
  • 3. Meanwhile, let’s prepare vegetables. Cut white cabbage into squares with a side of 3 cm.
  • 4. Wash carrots, peel them and cut into half rings.
  • 5. Peel the onions and cut into quarter rings.
  • 6. In deep ware, combine white cabbage, carrots and onions. Let's salt to taste, season the vegetable mixture with ground spices so that the cabbage with chicken in the bag becomes fragrant.
  • 7. Pour the vegetables with a small amount of olive oil and mix thoroughly.
  • 8. One end of the baking bag is carefully tied. Transfer the vegetable mixture into a baking bag.
  • 9. Over the vegetables, put marinated chicken thighs with the skin up. Carefully tie the second end of the baking bag. Transfer chicken with vegetables in the bag to a baking sheet or to a heat-resistant form for baking. Send the ingredients to a heated oven up to 200 degrees.
  • 10. After 50-55 minutes, the baked chicken with cabbage in a bag in the oven will be ready. Check the readiness of the meat by sticking a knife blade into it. If clear juice flows out of the chicken, it is ready. Serve tender chicken thighs with vegetables immediately after cooking, decorated with dill.
