Steps

  • 1. Wash the pork, clean it from fat and skins. Cut the meat into pieces of medium size. Peel onions from husks, cut largely. Combine the ingredients in a bowl of blender, grind the meat with onions into homogenous mince.
  • 2. Wash long-grained rice thoroughly and cook until semi-readiness in salted water.
  • 3. In a deep bowl, combine meat mince and rice cooled to room temperature, following the cabbage rolls recipe.
  • 4. Chop white cabbage into thin straws. Wash carrots, peel them and grind on a large grater.
  • 5. In a frying pan with heated vegetable oil, put cabbage. Stir and fry it on medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Then add grated carrots to the cabbage. Stir and continue to fry the ingredients together for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
  • 6. When the vegetables cool down to room temperature, add them to the mince. Salt and add black ground pepper to taste.
  • 7. Stir the mince until homogeneous consistency. Now let’s form 8-12 cabbage rolls from mince. Coat the blanks in breadcrumbs.
  • 8. Put lazy cabbage rolls in a heat-resistant baking form, greased with vegetable oil.
  • 9. Let’s make the sauce. In a deep bowl, combine tomato paste, wheat flour, sugar and salt.
  • 10. Mix the sauce, add hot water to the mixture, as required by the step-by-step recipe of lazy stuffed cabbage rolls in tomato sauce.
