It is enough to combine all the ingredients, knead the soft elastic dough, cut out the blanks from it and fry them in a small amount of vegetable oil. Tasty rolls can be served with favourite jam, honey or condensed milk. Sour cream intensifies the effect of the baking powder, so the rolls are very soft, fluffy and do not hard for a long time. If you want to make a less calorie dessert, sour cream buns can be baked in the oven. It’s no less tasty and appetizing.

  • Whole wheat flour
    500 ml

    3 tbsp
  • Sugar

  • Egg

Easy Sour Cream Rolls


  • 1. In a deep bowl, combine chicken eggs and sugar. Whip the mixture with a wire whisk until homogeneous consistency.
  • 2. Add sour cream to the received mixture. Mix the ingredients until homogeneous, following the recipe for sour cream rolls.
  • 3. In several steps add sifted wheat flour mixed with salt, vanillin and baking powder into the dough.
  • 4. As a result, a homogeneous soft dough should be obtained.
  • 5. For convenience, let’s divide the finished dough into 2 parts. Roll each part of the dough into a layer 0.7-1 cm thick on a working surface dusted with flour. Using a glass or a special cookie ring cut out circular blanks with a diameter of 5-7 cm from the dough.
  • 6. Put the blanks in a frying pan with pre-heated vegetable oil.
  • 7. Fry the sour cream rolls on a medium heat to a golden brown on both sides.
  • 8. Transfer the finished products on a plate covered with paper towels to remove excess oil. Decorate golden grandmothers sour cream rolls with powdered sugar and serve immediately after cooking.
