Apple Honey Roasted Chicken

Chicken with apples and honey in the oven is great for any feast or family dinner. Slices of apples will add a unique fruit aroma to the chicken and a pleasant taste. The result is a very tasty and appetizing dish. Honey gives chicken meat a piquant sweet taste, and also makes an appetizing crust. For the recipe, you can use chicken fillet, as well as wings, drumsticks or thighs. Choose sour-sweet kinds of apples. Such apples will provide the necessary sweetness, but have a light sourness and dense flesh, so they are ideal for cooking salads and baking with meat in the oven.

How to Make Apple Honey Chicken

Steps

  • 1. Wash chicken thighs and dry from excess moisture with paper towels. Rub the meat with a mixture of salt and ground seasonings from all sides. Let's leave the chicken thighs for 30 minutes to marinate. Thanks to the seasonings, baked honey chicken, the recipe for which I recommend you to cook, will be very fragrant.
  • 2. Let’s make a marinade. In a deep ware, combine honey, olive oil and lemon juice. Mix the mixture until it has a homogeneous consistency.
  • 3. Wash the apples, remove the core with seeds and cut them into slices.
  • 4. In a heat-resistant baking form, transfer marinated pieces of chicken meat and add slices of apples.
  • 5. Pour meat and fruits with honey marinade with olive oil and lemon juice.
  • 6. Cover the form with food foil and send apple chicken thighs in a heated oven up to 200 degrees. After 45-50 minutes, the chicken with apples and honey will be ready. Let’s check the readiness of the meat by sticking a knife blade into it. If clear juice flows out of the chicken, it is ready.
  • 7. Serve the finished dish in hot form immediately after cooking, decorating with fresh greenery. Bon Appetite!
