Grandmas Pan-Fried Pork Fritters

When you need to quickly prepare a delicious and hearty dinner, the first thing that comes to mind is fritters. There are many recipes for this on-duty dish, which only confirms its versatility. Hard cheese, various vegetables and spicy herbs are added to the mince, sometimes fritters are supplemented with a filling from boiled eggs with greenery, mozzarella or fried mushrooms. Today I propose to prepare classic pork fritters with the addition of onions, garlic and white bread. The fritters thus prepared are very tasty, delicate and fragrant. To make the fritters juicy, use clear back pork with a small amount of fat. A pork leg, pork loin or pork shoulder is ideal. Fried pork fritters according to this recipe keep the form well and do not break down in a frying pan. They will be an excellent addition to the side dish of roasted vegetables, cereals or pasta.

Steps

  • 1. Break white bread into large pieces (if you want without crust, you can cut it off in advance), transfer it to a deep bowl and pour it with cold milk. Let's leave the bread for 5-10 minutes.
  • 2. Meanwhile, let’s prepare the rest of the ingredients for mince. Wash the pork flesh, clean it from fat and skins and cut into pieces of medium size. Let’s peel onions and garlic from husks and cut them into 4-6 parts.
  • 3. Let's pass through the minced machine meat, onions, garlic and white bread squeezed from milk. You can also grind the ingredients in a blender, following the pork fritters recipe.
  • 4. So that pork fritters keep their form well and do not break down during frying, add 1 chicken egg to the mince. Add salt to taste and season mince with ground spices. Thoroughly mix the mince and pound it so that it becomes more dense and homogeneous.
  • 5. From a small amount of mince, form round or oval fritters 1.5-2 cm thick. Put the blanks in a frying pan with pre-heated vegetable oil.
  • 6. Fry fritters on a medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Transfer the finished products on a dish covered with paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve the appetizing pork fritters, the recipe for which I told you in detail, in hot with a side dish or fresh vegetable salad.
  • 7. Bon Appetite!
