Sweet fritters
INGREDIENTS
160ml (3/4 cup) of milk 40g (1/4 cup) of sugar 12g of fresh yeast 8g (2 tsp) of vanilla sugar 60g (1/4 cup) of yogurt 20ml (1 1/2 tbsp) of seed oil A pinch of salt 300g (2 1/2 cups) of all-purpose flour Oil for frying Sugar
METHOD
- In a bowl add the milk, sugar, and yeast and whisk until sugar dissolves. Add the vanilla sugar, yogurt, seed oil, and salt and mix. Gradually adds the flour and mix until the dough is created. Knead the dough until smooth.
- Cover the dough with cling film and let the dough rise for one hour or until is doubled.
- After time has elapsed cut the dough into 8 pieces and create the balls. Roll out each ball with the rolling pin and create the strips. From each strip create the shape of the flower.
- Fry the fritters in the hot oil until they are golden brown on both sides. Dip the fritters in the sugar and serve.
