Fried twists


  • 250ml (1 cup) milk
  • 7g dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 30g (2 tbsp) sugar
  • 450g (3 ΒΌ cups) flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50g (3 tbsp) butter
  • Granulated sugar for coating


  1. In a bowl mix together almond milk with sugar, yeast, and egg. Add in flour and salt. Cover for 20 minutes.
  2. Mix in butter and let it rise for 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the dough and divide it into 12 pieces, roll the ends and seal them.
  4. Cover for 15 minutes and fry in the hot oil until golden brown.
  5. Cover with sugar.
