Vortex muffins

Vortex muffins


  • 1 egg
  • 60g (1/3 cup) sugar
  • 60ml (¼ cup) vegetable oil
  • 100ml (2/5 cup) milk
  • 160g (1 ¼ cup) flour
  • 8g (2 tsp) baking powder
  • 15g (2 tbsp) cocoa powder
  • 30ml (3 tbsp) milk


  1. Whisk cocoa and milk in a small bowl.
  2. Beat the egg and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add oil and milk. Sift flour and baking powder. Mix the mass well.
  3. Separate 100ml of the mass and mix it with the cocoa mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into muffin tins.
  5. Make a spiral of cocoa mixture.
  6. Sprinkle with coconut and bake at 360°F/180°C for 25 minutes. Serve.
