Puff pastry triangles with jam and apple pieces

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 apples
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Milk
  • Almond slices
  • 2 puff pastry rolls
  • Apricot jam
  • Powdered sugar

METHOD

  1. Add butter to a skillet. Add an apple, peel, and cut into small pieces. Add lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Let cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Divide a circular puff pastry into 8 equal parts.
  3. Add a tablespoon of jam and a tablespoon of the apple mixture.
  4. Place another circular pastry puff on top. Use your hand to divide the 8 parts well. Cut the 8 pieces again and use your fingers to pinch the edges together.
  5. Cover the entire puff pastry with milk and decorate with almond slices. Bake for 25 minutes at 180°C (356°F).
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to serve.
