Sandwich focaccia
INGREDIENTS
- 70ml (1/4 cup) of extra virgin olive oil
- 500ml (2 cups) of milk
- 10g (3/4 tbsp) of sugar
- 10g (1 tbsp) of fresh yeast
- 250g (2 cups) of flour 00
- 250g (2 cups) of Manitoba flour
- 15g (3/4 tbsp) of salt
- Oil
- Sesame seeds
For the filling:
- Cream cheese
- Baked ham
- Salad
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
METHOD
- In a bowl add the extra virgin olive oil, milk, sugar, and fresh yeast and mix until the sugar and yeast dissolve.
- In another bowl add the flour and gradually add the yeast mixture. Mix with the electric mixer until the dough is created. Add the salt and mix with the mixer.
- Transfer the dough to the pan covered with parchment paper, level it up, and let it rise for two hours, or until is doubled in volume.
- After time has elapsed brush the focaccia with the oil and sprinkle the sesame seeds. Bake in the oven at 180°C/360°F for 35 minutes.
- Split the focaccia with the knife in half and start filling with the cream cheese by spreading it on the bottom part. Arrange the baked ham and salad and season the salad with olive oil and salt.
- Cut the focaccia into the squares and serve.
