Mushroom bites
INGREDIENTS
- 8 mushrooms
- 40g (1/3 cup) cornstarch
- 40g (1/3 cup) flour
- 120ml (½ cup) water
- Salt and pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 50g (2 cups) cornflakes
- Vegetable oil
METHOD
- Use king oyster mushrooms or another large type of mushroom. Cut the mushroom stems into several medium-sized slices.
- Pour corn flakes into an airtight bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and water in a separate bowl. Coat each mushroom slice with the flour mixture and then with the crushed cornflakes.
- Fry in vegetable oil until golden.
