Watermelon in a jar

INGREDIENTS

  • Watermelon
  • 1 tsp citric acid
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Hot water

METHOD

  1. Cut watermelon into several large chunks.
  2. Fill two glass jars with the pieces of watermelon. Fill with boiling water and let stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the water. Add a tablespoon of sugar, citric acid, and a pinch of salt, and fill with water. Put the lids on. Store for up to 6 months.
