Sweet donuts

INGREDIENTS

  1. 500g (4 cups) of all-purpose flour
  2. 7g of dry yeast
  3. 25g (2 tbsp) of sugar Salt Lemon (zest)
  4. 1 egg 250ml (1 cup) of milk
  5. 15g (1 tbsp) of butter Corn oil
  6. Oil for frying
  7. Sugar

METHOD

  1. In a bowl with flour add the yeast, sugar, salt, lemon (zest), egg, and milk, and mix until the dough is created. Add the butter and knead until the dough is smooth.
  2. Add the corn oil to the dough and cover all sides. Cover with cling film and let it rise for 1 hour.
  3. After one hour roll out the dough and with the mold create the round shape. With a smaller mold prick the middle to create the donut shape.
  4. Transfer them to the baking tray covered with parchment paper, cover with a cloth and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  5. After time has elapsed fry the fritters in the hot oil until they are golden brown on both sides. Cover fritters with sugar and serve.
