Apple buns
INGREDIENTS
- 2 apples
- 60g (1/4 cup) of sugar
- Cinnamon
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 60g of apricot jam
- 1 roll of puff pastry
METHOD
- First, peel the apple, remove the core and cut it into slices, and then into cubes of about 1 cm per side.
- In a saucepan add the sugar and cinnamon and lemon juice. Cook for a few minutes over low heat, melt the sugar well, stirring occasionally.
- When it has melted, add the diced apple, add the apricot jam and mix everything letting the apple soften a little over low heat for a few minutes.
- Cut 6 squares of puff pastry, brush the edges with a little apple cooking liquid and place a couple of teaspoons of apple mixture on top.
- Close the buns in half by gently pressing the edges with your fingers. With a fork press on the side edges of the buns in order to seal them well.
- Bake in the oven at 220°C/428°F for 12 minutes.
