Savory sausage cake

INGREDIENTS

  • Butter for greasing
  • 900g of fresh sausage
  • 3 eggs
  • 300ml (1 1/2 cups) of milk
  • 100ml (1/2 cup) of cooking oil
  • 50g (1/2 cup) of parmesan cheese
  • Salt
  • 300g (2 1/2 cups) of flour
  • 14g (1 tbsp) of baking powder
  • 300g of cheese
  • 50g (1/2 cup) of parmesan cheese

METHOD

  1. Grease the pan with butter. Start by emptying the sausage and arranging it on the baking tray. Level it up well to cover the whole pan. Transfer to the oven and bake at 240°C/464°F for 35 minutes.
  2. In a food processor add the eggs, milk, cooking oil, parmesan cheese, and salt and mix until combined.
  3. Pour the prepared mixture into the bowl. Add the flour and baking powder and mix until no lumps.
  4. Grease the baking tray with butter. Add half of the prepared batter and level it up well. Add the cooked sausage on top and arrange the grated cheese.
  5. Cover with another half of the batter and level it up to cover all. Finally, add the parmesan cheese on top. Bake in the oven at 200°C/392°F for 40 minutes.
