Potato and ham fritters

These potato and ham fritters are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack that everyone will love.


  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, diced ham, chopped onion, flour, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Spoon the potato mixture into the hot oil, making small mounds about 2 inches in diameter.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  6. Serve the fritters hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
