Rolled cookies

They are so easy and delicious!

INGREDIENTS

  • 300g (2 1/2 cups) of all-purpose flour
  • 8g (2 tsp) of vanilla sugar
  • 4g (3/4 tsp) of baking powder
  • 125g (1/2 cup) of butter (cold)
  • 1 egg
  • 40ml (3 tbsp) of water (cold)
  • Chocolate (melted)
  • Powdered sugar

METHOD

  1. In a bowl add the flour, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and butter, and mix by hand until the butter dissolve.
  2. Add the egg, and water and continue to mix until the dough is obtained. Knead the dough until smooth and compact. Wrap the dough with cling film and transfer to the fridge for 30 minutes.
  3. After time has elapsed roll the dough with the rolling pin, cut the edges, and cut the rolled dough on strips horizontally.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate on one side of each strip and roll it out. Cut each strip into 3 equal parts.
  5. Transfer the cookies to the baking tray covered with parchment paper and bake in the oven at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes.
  6. Decorate with powdered sugar and serve.
