Chocolate Steamed Cake

Ingredients

4-5Cakes

  • 1 Egg(55g w/o shell)
  • 50g Sugar
  • 40g Milk
  • 40g Heavy cream
  • 25g Neutral-flavored oil (vegetable, rice bran, canola, etc)
  • 70g Plain flour
  • 30g Cocoa powder
  • 5g Baking powder
  • 25g Chocolate

Directions

①Crack the eggs into a bowl and mix well.

②Add sugar, oil, milk, and heavy cream in order and mix well.

③Sift flour,cocoa powder and baking powder over the batter and mix.

④Pour the batter into paper-lined the cups.

Fill the center of the dough with chocolate.

⑤Pour water into the pan and bring to the boil over high heat.

Steam over medium heat for 12 minutes.

*Note: I recommend to wrap the lid with tea towel or large cloth, so that water won’t drip onto the cake.
